The method used in this article is qualitative research with library research, namely research whose subjects are literature. A large amount of facts and data in qualitative research are believed to be stored in the form of documents. Most of the available data is in the form of letters, notes, reports, photographs, and so on. The results obtained in this study are that the implementation of e-learning has the potential to enhance the learning experience, but also faces challenges that need to be addressed. Educational institutions need to consider these advantages and disadvantages to design effective and inclusive e-learning programs and provide the necessary support for students to succeed in a digital learning environment.
Nabillah Copyright (c) 2025 Al-Ard: Journal of Education https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/7 Sat, 31 May 2025 00:00:00 +0000 History of E-Learning Development and Its Application in Learning https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/8
E-learning is an electronic-based learning method or teaching and learning process conducted online, where various learning materials are delivered to users through the help of information technology. The purpose of this study is to determine the History of E-Learning Development and Its Application in Learning. The method used in this article is a qualitative research type with library research, namely research whose subjects are library literature. The data sources in this article depart from documentation originating from books and scientific journal articles that discuss the history of e-learning development and its application in learning. The results of this study are a learning platform to facilitate the learning process, the differences in e-learning between schools and universities are adjusted to the needs of certain educational institutions.
Ilham Muhamad Rizky Copyright (c) 2025 Al-Ard: Journal of Education https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/8 Sat, 31 May 2025 00:00:00 +0000 E-Learning Implementation: Infrastructure Support, Human Resource Training, and Effective Learning Strategies https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/9
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of infrastructure support, human resource training, and learning strategies. The method used in this article is qualitative library research, which utilizes primary and secondary sources, including books, scientific journal articles, and other sources discussing infrastructure support, human resource training, and effective learning strategies. The findings of this study demonstrate the use of e-learning to increase competitiveness through strategic steps. The development of a localized LMS tailored to the needs of students and lecturers is a priority. Furthermore, intensive training for lecturers, collaboration with industry, and the development of locally based content can strengthen e-learning implementation.
Dwi Rahma Tika Copyright (c) 2025 Al-Ard: Journal of Education https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/9 Sat, 31 May 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Innovation in the World of Education Using Information Technology in Learning https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/10
E-learning is a form of innovation in education that combines information technology with the learning process. The term e-learning refers to the use of technological devices, particularly the internet, to deliver learning materials online. The purpose of this article is to examine educational innovations using information technology in learning. The data collection technique in this study was documentation, collecting and selecting data that correlated with the research title to draw conclusions. The collected data needed to be interpreted by referring to general theory. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. E-learning offers significant benefits, such as reduced operational costs, broader access to learning materials, and the use of modern technology to enhance learning effectiveness.
Dwi Ana Anggraeni Copyright (c) 2025 Al-Ard: Journal of Education https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/10 Sat, 31 May 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Evolution and Implementation of E-Learning in Modern Education: A Comprehensive Study and Strategic Recommendations for Higher Education Institutions https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/12
E-learning, or electronic learning, has undergone a remarkable evolutionary journey since its inception, fundamentally transforming the global educational landscape. This research presents a comprehensive overview of e-learning's historical trajectory, from the era of simple teaching machines to the current complex and integrated online learning platforms. The significant acceleration in e-learning adoption globally, particularly spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, is also a key analytical focus. E-learning implementation across various educational levels, including primary, secondary schools, and higher education institutions, exhibits fundamental similarities such as enhanced accessibility, temporal and spatial flexibility, and increased interactivity through digital technology utilization. However, this study also identifies essential differences in the depth and complexity of content delivered, the expected level of learner autonomy, and the sophistication of technological infrastructure implemented at each level. To optimize e-learning adoption in higher education settings, exemplified by the specific case of Universitas Wiralodra, this article offers a set of strategic recommendations. These include substantial investment in comprehensive technological infrastructure upgrades, structured and continuous training programs for both faculty and students, the development of innovative, interactive, and adaptive learning content, and the implementation of periodic, holistic, and data-driven evaluation systems. It is concluded that while e-learning offers substantial benefits such as spatial and temporal flexibility, broader access to learning resources, and stimulated learning autonomy, significant challenges also persist, including limited face-to-face interaction and technological access disparities. Therefore, a blended learning approach, which intelligently combines the strengths of traditional face-to-face instruction with the flexibility and innovation of online learning, is proposed as the most effective strategy to maximize e-learning's transformative potential while mitigating its inherent drawbacks.
Didik Himmawan, Zahrotunnisa Copyright (c) 2025 Al-Ard: Journal of Education https://al-ard.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/12 Sat, 31 May 2025 00:00:00 +0000
